goodyear arts, charlotte, north carolina
residency/group exhibition
“Our flagship artist-in-residence program offers excellent local visual, literary, and performing artists space, time, and money to develop work. We emphasize risk and experimentation, and encourage artists to expand their practice. Each residency session is diverse in terms of the represented artistic media and the artists’ social backgrounds. The six-week long sessions include 24/7 private studio access and $2,000 stipends, and culminate in one-month exhibitions and/or showcases of non-visual work. Nine artists are selected for residencies each year.”
wherever you go, there you are
april 2026
eritage gallery, lisbon, portugal
group exhibition
This exhibition invites identity to be experienced as a continuous uncovering. It lives in the small things: a remembered corner, the smell of a kitchen, a gaze that recognises us without words. To experience it, something in us must break open. The old ways of seeing must decompose before new ones can grow.
These are territories shaped by colonial encounter, forced displacement, and the permanent struggle for self-definition. At the same time, it is from the fabric of these precise histories that the most powerful narratives of resilience, reinvention, and collective imagination emerge.
This exhibition proposes a quiet but radical act: to pay attention. To our emotions, our surroundings, the small signs offered to us through the present moment. What we transform in ourselves, we transform in the world around us.
heard you say: echoes and exchanges of the human condition
january 2026
tribe social cafe, artaccount, baltimore, maryland
group exhibition
Rooted in the idea that every tribe is built through shared dialogue, Heard You Say: Echoes and Exchanges of the Human Condition gathers a group of artists whose work engages with communication, identity, and the emotional landscape of contemporary life.
The exhibition explores how art functions as both mirror and mediator. Capturing, distorting, and reimagining the ways we understand people, places, and ideas. Across painting, photography, design, and mixed media, participating artists examine the interplay between the personal and the political, the playful and the unsettling, the familiar and the abstract.
Through these intersections, Heard You Say invites viewers to consider how creative exchange can serve as a path toward understanding, restoration, and renewed connection in an age of constant noise.

cold leftovers
january 2025
colonna contemporary, wayne, pa
solo exhibition
In this solo presentation, ideas once left behind take center stage. Through this series of battle-worn paintings, Bhare sifts through the good, the bad, and the ugly—depictions of ordinary life layered with color and line, emotions at their peak of instability, and things better left unsaid. He reflects on whether he has discovered a deeper well while growing as an artist or if his past ideas will outshine anything he could create in the future. The remnants of his emotions run cold, but with the right care, they could be warmed into something great.

drinking water could cure heavy feelings
september 2024
l.a.n.d. gallery, charlotte, nc
solo exhibition
In this solo presentation, drinking water could cure heavy feelings; water, in its simplicity and essentiality, becomes a metaphor for emotional substance in Bhare's paintings. Through this series of fantastical paintings, he offers a diagnosis— depictions of ordinary life layered with color and line, guiding the viewer through the highs and lows of daily existence. These works provide a cathartic experience, cleansing lingering emotions and heavy feelings. It’s not an absolute truth, but it seems to help in certain situations. “Could I simply be dehydrated?”
